Form 5500 vs. Form 5500-SF

Form 5500 is the full annual return/report used by employee benefit plans and direct filing entities that meet the applicable filing requirements. Form 5500-SF is a shorter annual return/report available only to certain small plans that satisfy all of its eligibility conditions.
